The Sega Dreamcast system still has a huge following. It was a system that really did very well in sales and there are some serious games to be played on this system. There still is a huge interest in this system. A lot of homebrew things have been released to the scene. One of the many is emulations to be played on the Dreamcast system. You can find many of the classic systems can be run on the dreamcast with these emulators. Its fairly exhausive on the number of systems that can be emulated. Another great selling point are the number of Limited edition video game consoles that were released for this system. In the USA, you find the traditional unit as well as the Sega Sports Edition which is the black version. In Japan, where the Dreamcast did exceptionally well, you can find a boat load of Limited edition varieties. I have included a nice example of the different limited editions available. I actually own a great number of the Hello Kitties and the Sakura systems. I also have 3 of the factory sealed Diver systems as well. If interested in these systems, just drop me a line. The Dreamcast games are not in the CD format either. They were released in the GDI-rom. These disks are able to hold much more data than the conventional CD-R disks. This was a limiting factor for people who were trying to copy these games. This has seen been broken. You can find sites with self boot Dreamcast games as well as GDI-rom versions to play in a dreamcast emulator on your PC. A lot of newer emulating programs are coming out and being updated. You basically can find a complete set of NTSC-A, PAL and NTSC-J ROMs if you are savvy enough to find the site. A good source is www.pleasuredome.org . You basically can find a complete set of ROMs there. Its a huge download, but really nice.
